High Dynamic Range - Low Loss
Measuring RF signals using coaxial RF cables will always result in some loss. Even when using very high quality (low loss) cables this effect won't disappear, especially when measuring at higher frequencies. DARE!! Instruments developed the RadiLink® RF optical link to get rid of this problem!
RadiLink® LASER powered RF optical link system
The RadiLink® system consits of a plug-in card that fits into the RadiCentre® system that converts the RF signal (measured by the spectrum analyser or receiver) to analog fiber optic. The fiber optic cable that connects this plug-in card to the remote unit which is connected to the measuring antenna has a standard length of 25 meters, but can be any required length up to 500 meter. The frequency range of the RadiLink covers an area of 9 kHz up to 3 GHz. The remote unit can be powered by batteries or using LASER.
For Automotive (CISPR25) applications a dedicated Car Radio Link is available.
